work from home
Mark Watson asked:

(c) 2008 Mark Watson

One of the biggest problems with working form home is the number of scams around. Spotting something that is not real or out of the ordinary is easy in the traditional job market, but in the virtual world it can be very difficult to see the scam in the work at home environment. Weeding out these scams is a job that everyone wishing to work from home must be prepared to do.

Following are 5 easy steps that you can follow to help you to spot a work at home scam. I will give you things to look for when checking out these work at home opportunities. You will need to go through each of the 5 steps to see if the company passes or fails. To be a legitimate business it needs to pass all 5 steps. By using these 5 steps you should be able to avoid most scams without ending up losing lots of money or wasting valuable time on an opportunity that will not give you anything back.

Step 1:- The company gives no details. The company should give you details of who they are, what the company does and what the job is you are expected to do. This is not a covert operation and full disclosure should be made. It is more than likely a scam if they do not give this information.

Step 2:- The company requires payment up front to work with them. Although saying this, some cases of upfront payment can be above board. It is quite easy to get caught up on this. In a direct sales situation, paying for a sales kit upfront is okay, however paying an application fee or administrative fee is not okay. You should never pay just to get information about the job. If you are not getting an actual product (ebook etc.) or a sales kit then steer clear.

Step 3:- The company has no products or service. If you are not told what you will be selling then you will be selling nothing at all. Taking money without selling anything (whether tangible items or information products) has no place in the online world and is more than likely a scam.

Step 4:- the company is not known. It is rare for an online work at home business not to be known about by anyone. If nobody has heard about the business and after searching for this business (online is a good avenue for this) no information can be found, then it is likely a scam. People will be buzzing about a real business. People will be talking about it using blogs and social networking sites, telling others about their experiences.

Step 5:- Follow your gut instinct. If a business deal does not feel right then it probably is not right. Do not go with a company or work at home scheme if it does not give you a good feeling.

I have given you these 5 steps to help you weed out the work at home scams. They can help you to stop falling for these scams and will help save you a lot of time and money. People become despondent and give up on the work at home experience due to these scams, which is a shame because they can really be a lot of fun, and there are a lot of companies out there ready for people to make a good living.

le are interested in working at home, but they are too focused on what they have done in the traditional work environment to see all the possibilities. Many times people are looking to come into the work at home environment and work for a client or a company. There is a whole other side to working at home - the home business.

For some people a home business is a much better choice then a person choosing to work for someone else at home. A home business is much different than a work at home job and that is something that should be understood first when deciding between the two.

You will control your life completely with your own home business, rather than being tied to a job. They can choose their own schedule and work when they want to work. Usually with a work at home job there is set schedule and more rules to follow. A home business is great for someone wanting flexibility and more control in the situation.

You have less limitations with a home business. A person can really go where they want with it. If they want to earn more they can work more to do that. There are usually more limits with a work at home job than there are with a traditional job outside the home. A person is usually unable to earn as much as they want without sacrificing a lot more of their free time.

It is pretty clear that with a home business a person has more ability to do what they want. A home business is a great way to be independent and to really become your own boss. For someone who wants less limitation and more freedom a home business is the best choice. There are so many benefits to a home business that a person can really have a good time with one.

Now that the benefits of a home business are outlined, it is important for a person to understand what a home business is and how to get into one. Many people think a home business means getting an inventory of products and selling them. There are many other work at home businesses that do not require you to have inventory, this was just one example.

Service home businesses are a great opportunity that is often overlooked. The market is wide open for writers. Starting a writing home business is a wonderful opportunity that can be quite easy to start up if a person has good writing skills. There is also a large market for advice or experts. People can have a business where they talk to others and offer their expert help.

A home business is the ultimate freedom from the traditional working environment. Although the risk is greater than the traditional job or work at home job, you can achieve a higher level of self confidence and success with your own work at home business. For someone who is wiling to take a risk and willing to put in some work and effort, a home business may just be the best choice.

I originally started working from home because i absolutely hated my job! I heard so many people discussing the potential of working from home on the internet and this got me very interested and hooked on the idea… I was working in Fast Food Joint And Was Making A Petty $343 A week for 38 Hours Of Work… Thats Under $10 An hour and the work was absolutely unbearable!

I saved My Small Income For over 2 Months to buy myself a laptop computer and start exploring amazing work from home opportunities, i was so exited and couldn’t wait untill that happened ! I bought brand new laptop for $700 and started surfing the internet for some good work from home opportunities immedeatly. I found heaps of garbage and ebooks that i wasted my hard earned $120 dollars on! That was nearly half a weeks worth of wages and i was kicking myself for days!

I decided to visit some online forums and search for some good advice about genuine opportunities to work from home and 3 days later a guy by the name of Travis Jackson introduced me to Wealthy Affiliate University… I had a long discussion with him, he is a huge affiliate marketer and he advised me that the best way to work from home and make a real income was Affiliate Marketing, Which didn’t require me to have my own product to sell, deal with customer service, buy products and take part in any multi level marketing which takes forever to make money in and you have to literally work your **** off to the bone before you see a dollar and it is very expensive to start!

Anyways, thats where it all began for me… conversation with Travis was a real eye opener for me and i wanted to become Affiliate Marketer More than anything, so Travis Suggested that i first hould learn all the techniques of Affiliate Marketing And get some Free Mentoring By Kyle And Carson At Wealthy Affiliate University!

I have been looking around online but I just don’t know what’s legit and what’s not, but I am trying to find a work from home job that I can do, preferably online, that doesn’t involve driving. I’m in Washington state if that makes any difference… I need one that pays a decent amount.

Suzanne E Morrison asked:

rom home is becoming more and more popular. There are many reasons for working from home and many rewards. In this article we look at the main benefits and advantages of working from home.

1. A lot of people dislike their jobs and would love to say goodbye to the 9 to 5. They have their own reasons, but certainly one of those is the amount of time wasted commuting back and forth to work. This is nonproductive time and when you include the fact that you have to get up early just to get ready, the average person wastes several hours every week that they never get paid for.

One of the great benefits of having a home office is that you don’t have to travel in your car or by public transport to get to work every morning. You can get up every day and take the short walk to your home office and you are ready to go to work.

2. Today there are people who are giving up their full-time careers to work at home and be with their kids. This is a fantastic thing if you can pull it off because you can be there for them when they really need you.

If you work for someone else it can be hard to get the time off that you need for appointments that take place during the day, or to look after the kids when they are sick. When you are your own boss you set your schedule and you will never have to miss anything that you want to and of theirs.

3. There are a lot of different ways that you can work from home, but one of the more popular ones is to start your own home business on the internet. This is great because when you have a job your income is established for you by the company you work for.

Operating in Internet business of your own allows you to remove the ceiling from your income. You can make as much money as you want by working a little harder, or adding to your business in various ways.

4. One benefit that we haven’t yet mentioned is the money that you can save when you work at home. Although you may give up such as benefits, retirement plan, sick days, and vacation days, you can still save money working from home.

For example, you won’t have to fill the car up with gas as often. This alone can amount to the thousands of dollars every year as the price of gas continues to rise.

You also don’t have to upgrade the clothes in your wardrobe as often. Depending on the type of work you did it can be expensive to constantly have to buy new clothes. When you are working for yourself in the office you can work in your pajamas or your jeans. There is nobody telling you to dress smartly.

These are four big advantages of working at home. If you are lucky enough to do it you may even be able to add to this list benefits of your own.

Not so long ago I asked a question about how to market a work from home business. Many people wrote inviting me to do their program without answering my question. A stay at home mom with young children wrote letting me know what to look for and the company she worked for. I’d like to know more about legitimate companies. I don’t want rebates, putting things together, just honest companies that offer 401K plans and the ability to make money.
